Newport Folk Festival 2008

Friday 4 - Sunday 6 July

Over the weekend of the 4-6 of July the very first Newport Folk Festival will take place.

This promises to be a wonderful music festival filled with many opportunities to play, sing, dance and learn. Various venues around Newport will host a range of activities including a colonial bush dance, Irish fiddle music, farmers market and music workshops.

On Saturday 5 June from 10am the Substation will host the Willin’ Women, the Western Region Concert Band Choir, a string quartet and performances by Ted Smith and Gerry Nelson.
