Jeremy Gaden has been appointed as the new Director of the organisation.
President of The Substation’s Committee of Management, Darren Williams, was delighted to be able to make the announcement, noting that Jeremy was an extremely worthy candidate chosen from a very strong field of applicants.
Jeremy Gaden has 15 years experience in arts management, producing and festival coordination and has worked for many of Melbourne’s leading arts organisations. Most recently he held the position of Programming Manager at Footscray Community Arts Centre where he oversaw a number of major community engagement projects as well as developed many of the Centre’s signature events.
Jeremy is extremely pleased to be given the chance to take up this new role, saying: “I am thrilled and honoured to be taking up the position of Director of The Substation. I feel that the organisation is a major cultural asset, both to the local community and to the Australian arts sector, and look forward to developing a dynamic artistic program that will ensure The Substation becomes a major destination for the area.” |
